VISION
To be recognised as the most
successful Wimmera Club, that develops individuals in a supportive,
financially sound and professional
environment.
MISSION
We aim to be the most successful Wimmera Club, being competitive
and successful in Football & Netball Finals.
To this end we believe that we cannot make a champion player,
but we can create an environment where champion teams are inevitable,
on and off the field.
We aim to provide a social outlet with a family atmosphere for
players, relatives, members, sponsors and supporters at matches
and club functions.
We aim to foster active community participation and support
through the Club's affiliation with individuals, local business
and other
organisations.
VALUES
We, the players, management and members of the Horsham Saints
Football/Netball Club, shall strive with all our power to further
this Club's
achievements and future aspirations. We value the history of
the Club and recognise the efforts, struggles and achievements
of all Administrators, Players and Supporters who have gone
before us.
We recognise that to be successful each of us must be active
assertive and committed to the club.
We appreciate the need to balance involvement with the Club
and other areas of an individuals life and see the appropriate
sharing
of responsibilities as a way of successfully achieving our
common goals.
We appreciate the value of forming enduring friendships
and developing community spirit through sporting pursuits.
COLOURS
The Horsham Saints colours are Red / White / Black and is based
upon the St. Kilda AFL playing strip. See the pictures below
to see our playing uniforms.
LOCATION AND FACILITIES
The club is physically located at Coughlin Park in Horsham, Victoria,
approximate 300 Km's north west from Melbourne. The club backs
on to the picturesque Wimmera River. Coughlin Park is also
home to a whole host of sporting teams, from bowls to tennis.
In the 1940's the grounds were unusable swampland. But with the
effort of tireless volunteers the grounds were slowly converted
to the facilities that are enjoyed today.
